ENS stands for Ethereum Name Service. It is a decentralized naming system that allows you to use human-readable names to access your Ethereum addresses. For example, instead of having to remember a long and complex Ethereum address, you could use a name like "squirtle0x.eth".
To set up your ENS avatar, you will need to have an ETH wallet and ENS name. Once you have these things, you can follow these steps:
Go to the ENS app and connect your wallet. Navigate to the “My Names” page and select the ENS name you want to update

Click on the "Edit profile" button

Upload your avatar image, you can select an NFT that is owned by that wallet or upload an image

This is also when you can add more to your profile by selecting “Add more to profile“. This will let you add different profile information as seen in the screenshot below

Now all that’s needed is to confirm the added details, submit the transaction so it’s logged on-chain for all ENS enabled apps to use

Your ENS avatar will now be displayed on the ENS website and in any other ENS-enabled applications.
There are a couple benefits to setting up an ENS avatar and other profile details. These benefits include:
Increased convenience: ENS makes it easier to remember and use your Ethereum addresses.
Increased professionalism: ENS gives you a professional and memorable identity on the blockchain.
Verifiable social accounts: like Twitter are now attached to the verifiable ENS name / avatar
Take your identity with you: All apps can now tap into ENS and display your verifiable information. No more walled gardens.
If you are looking for a way to increase your security, convenience, and memorability on the blockchain, then it’s probably a good idea to set up an ENS avatar.
