Torosaurus was a late Cretaceous herbivorous dinosaur that lived on coastal plains and probably used its powerful beaks to gorge on tough plants. Torosaurus is also thought to have brightly colored crowns, used in courtship and class warfare. At eight meters long and weighing eight tons, Torosaurus had the largest skull ever seen on land.
When the Torosaurus lowers its huge head, its spectacular shield sticks up, making the creature even bigger. At this time, it can be seen from a distance. The behemoth is as long as an elephant and weighs more than five rhinos. It walks on four legs and feeds on low plants. Although the skull of the Torosaurus was 13 times the size of a human, its brain was small. However, with its spectacular shield, two large pointed horns above its eyes, and a small horn at the end of its head, the combined equipment would have made the Torosaurus stand out against even the largest carnivorous dinosaurs. When confronted face to face with an opponent and no one is willing to concede, the Torosaurus will first sway its huge head from side to side to frighten the opponent, and then spread its front legs to stand firm. Finally, the two dinosaurs put their horns together and began a power struggle
