In a previous article, we discussed the interaction with the Taiko testnet. If youâre new to Taiko and unfamiliar with the testnet, I recommend checking out the full guide to understand the platform and its capabilities better.
Now, letâs delve into deploying a smart contract on the Taiko Alpha 3 testnet. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to ensure you can take full advantage of the potential benefits, such as qualifying for the Taiko airdrop.
The current Alpha 3 testnet is incentivized, meaning engaging in various tasks enhances your chances of participating in the airdrop. The best part is that you wonât incur any costs during this process. To ensure you seize this opportunity and maximize your involvement, we have prepared a comprehensive guide on deploying a smart contract specifically tailored for the Taiko Alpha 3 testnet.
Here are the steps to follow:
Add Taiko Alpha 3 testnet to Metamask.
Get ETH on Sepolia.
Bridge ETH from Sepolia to Taiko.
Deploy smart contract.
You can skip steps 1 â 3 if you've done them before.
Add Taiko Alpha 3 testnet to Metamask.
Add to Metamask.
Get ETH on Sepolia.
Go to:
Claim Sepolia ETH faucet (you can skip this step if you have enough sEth on the Sepolia chain network).
Bridge ETH from Sepolia to Taiko.
Deploy Smart Contract.
Provide the following details for the smart contract: name, symbol, and pre-mint amount. You can enter random values for these parameters as they do not significantly affect the process.
Now click on âOpen in Remix.â
Connect your wallet and make sure itâs on Taiko Alpha 3 testnet.
Now click on the âCompileâ button.
There will be a green checkmark if there are no errors.
Now go to the deployment page.
Now select the âInjected Providerâ from the environment options menu, and then click on the âDeployâ button.
Confirm the transaction, and once again, make sure itâs on Taiko Alpha 3 testnet.
Youâll be able to see if the smart contract has been deployed successfully.
Thatâs all for the guide.
