Little do we know, how we are going to spend our adult years. Probably chasing our dream jobs, saving for the dream vacations and also probably buying fancy things which we always wished for. But last evening, i got a different perspective of how to spend my adult working years. So, i was invited to 60th birthday party, of one of my father's work friend. The party hall was filled with his peers and relatives. The occasion started with few of his relatives and friends expressing their thoughts and relishing memories with him. The entire event was so un fabricated. All the friends spoke their heart out. There was unfiltered laughter amongst the crowd. Normally any birthday celebrations these days are filled with entertaining hosts, trying to be funny rather than focusing the attention on the birthday boy or girl. This event was simply a testimony, how even expressing heart felt memories, notorious anecdotes and the fun they had together while working, along with a simple cake cutting ceremony still wins hearts over extremely lavish birthdays and fabricated speeches. The event was a mere flow of simplicity and how after so many years of service, what matters is how you treated people along your journey. That is what matters rather than how how much you have earned. This event solved a major question which our generation has, as to what is actually important or what is that which will be remembered after we serve for a number of years in the field, is how we treat others.
