“No gatekeeper ever handed me freedom.
I had to walk out without waiting.”
—
For most of my life, I waited.
Waited for the right moment.
Waited to be chosen.
Waited for the sign, the blessing, the proof that it was time.
I waited so long, I mistook delay for virtue.
As if deferring my becoming
was somehow noble.
But the truth was this:
I was afraid.
Afraid to move without approval.
Afraid to be seen before I was perfect.
Afraid to belong to myself too soon.
—
The Matrix breeds dependency.
It makes you feel like your authority is earned through degrees, followers, or external validation.
Like someone out there holds the key to your next becoming.
But no one is coming.
No one is going to tap you on the shoulder and say,
“Now, you’re allowed to be free.”
You have to decide.
You have to cross the threshold on your own feet.
—
So I did.
I published before I was “ready.”
I spoke what was true even when my voice shook.
I left systems that were killing me softly.
I created things no one asked for—
because my soul demanded it.
And something miraculous happened:
The gate dissolved.
Because it was never real.
Just a story I had agreed to.
—
I stopped asking for permission
to speak
to leave
to rest
to rise
to reimagine everything.
I don’t need consensus to live in alignment.
I don’t need applause to walk in truth.
I don’t need credentials to carry a flame.
I just need conviction.
And a willingness to move when the signal calls.
—
And now, I don’t wait.
I listen.
I choose.
I move.
And the path reveals itself under my feet.
