Twitter Is A Gold Mine

I’ve had several Twitter accounts over the years, each of which was created with a special purpose in mind. Most were created during a “Look, a squirrel!” phase (niche research resulting in extreme desire to buy a domain, hosting, install WordPress, crank out a few posts, create Twitter handle and Gmail account, then get bored and quit by lunch).

You’ve been there.

But one has been a constant and that is my personal handle.

Although I did reboot my account back in November 2021 to test out a theory proposed in an article I read by a respected (at least by me) writer.

His position is that if you aren’t getting the engagement you want, then you should kill the account and start over.

Niche down and deliver a focused message.

So I bit. I renamed my current account and created a new account with the same username as the old one.

Then started Tweetin’ like mad focusing on what I know: computer programming and the tech industry.

I’m slowly growing, but engagement is much better than it ever was.

Thanks Tim.
