The Journey to Self is a Journey to Spirit. Spirituality is a journey towards self-knowledge and connection with the universe.
Studying yourself and developing spiritually may not be as sexy as other self-care regimes. But, it calls for ALL of you. Your awareness, your intentionality, your imagination, your time to heal and connect back with your true self.
It takes a lot of work, but remember spirituality is a JOURNEY and every day is an opportunity to elevate to a higher version of yourself.
Dating back to my childhood, I often found it arduous to capture all my thoughts and experiences in written words. My hand would grow tired from the vigorous writing, and once my diary was lost or stolen, that was it. So I stopped writing and stopped documenting my thoughts and experiences. I wasn’t willing to do the work and lacked the willpower. As a result, I began to lose touch with my true self and slip into a negative cycle for many years to come…until my Spiritual Awakening.
Roughly 1 in 4 (27%) of US adults [identified] themselves as ‘spiritual but not religious, up approximately 8% since 2017. This trend can be seen regardless of race, sex, and political affiliation (Pew Research Center)
The future is beyond digital. It will be spiritual. More people are hungry for something to feed their souls; instead, they escape into technology. Technology often provides instant gratification and distracts us from making genuine connections within ourselves. Balancing spirituality and the digital advancements of tech will create a future of harmony as our ancestors once intended.
