Greetings friends, Looks like this was a great week for Swifties but definitely not a memorable week for Manchester United fans
Feel free to share this publication link to those in your family, friends and acquaintances who have a curiosity in knowing more about AI tools/services/use cases which are rapidly evolving.
Below is my personal website which aggregates links to many of my socials as well as content and community that I curate
Yusuf Goolamabbas
I'm also sharing another inspiring commencement address from my curated collection.
This 17 minutes speech from Ben Horowitz of the famous venture capital firm Andressen Horowtiz aka A16Z of the 2015 commencement address at Columbia University has a click-baity title but in my humble opinion is worth watching
I'm experimenting with a new presentation mechanism this week in particular using a tabular format on days which have had multiple posts to see if its easier to isolate the individual posts on a single day. Previews still show some rendering issues in particular that whilst I have the columns configured in different widths whilst editing, they render as identical widths. I have upstreamed this bug report to the Paragraph team

Some of you have asked as to what AI tools and services I use on a regular basis. As many of you know, I reside in Hong Kong, which has unique challenges of accessing AI tools and services most of you take for granted.
I've prepared the below Notion page which describes what I use, elaborates a bit more on what we experience in Hong Kong , and thus colours my recommendation to my friends and associates who reside in Hong Kong. Hope this helps some of you.
I do realise that for many amongst you may not be able to relate to why I may be recommending some tools but all I ask is that you mentally put yourself in the shoe of someone who faces constraints you are privileged to not be facing
1 | A FAANG software engineer tells how they vibe code at a FAANG For those unaware, FAANG is an acronym for five major American technology companies: Facebook (now Meta), Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google (now Alphabet) https://www.reddit.com/r/vibecoding/comments/1myakhd/how_we_vibe_code_at_a_faang/ Reply from: Roope Rainisto Yeah this one is pretty comical. Faster horses for step #5. |

The phrase 'best' also changes as updates come out. For what its worth, I use this prompt suffix for a socractic style explanation from a reasoning model which is also augmented with search capabilities so that its not constrained with its knowledge cut-off date
o3, Opus/Sonnet-4, Grok-4, Gemini-Pro-2.5 are my current gotos for such class of models
I humbly welcome your feedback if this approach helps you particularly when you are trying to learn new concepts
I would benefit most from an explanation style in which you frequently pause to confirm, via asking me test questions, that I've understood your explanations so far. Particularly helpful are test questions related to simple, explicit examples. When you pause and ask me a test question, do not continue the explanation until I have answered the questions to your satisfaction. I.e. do not keep generating the explanation, actually wait for me to respond first. I'm hoping that by tutoring me in this Socratic way, you'll help me better understand how superficial my understanding is (which is so easy to fail to notice otherwise), and then help fill all the important blanks. Thanks!
I wouldn't recommend using the above in an answer-engine such as Perplexity but it probably works best with an LLM front end more suited for multi-turn conversation such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Poe, ChatLLM etc
Example prompt where you can see the approach
Explain perpetual futures contract
