What is Cetus?
Cetus is a pioneer dex and liquidity protocol built on the Aptos blockchain. It focuses on delivering the best trading experience and superior capital efficiency to Defi users through the process of building its concentrated liquidity protocol and a series of affiliate functional modules. This document describes the concepts relative to Cetus and introduces the core products that it provides.
Why choose Aptos?
Aptos is a newborn layer1 blockchain that is full of potential and ambitions. It jumps out of the box that EVM ecosystem has created and pursuits the new gen of blockchain network with superior scalability, speed and robustness. We can see the increasing enthusiasm and demand for this eco. Cetus will be an important part of Aptos’s evergrowing infrastructure and collectively create values for all ecosystem participants in this process.
What major benefits can Cetus bring to this ecosystem?
Capital efficiency is the first thing that Cetus can redefine for this ecosystem, which is powered by its concentrated liquidity algorithm. Both liquidity providers and traders can benefit from this. LPs can earn transaction fees more efficiently by concentrating liquidity in a dynamic price range. Traders can enjoy low-slippage trading around the spot price during their swaps. In addition, developers can easily build their own products and tip into the most efficient liquidity source of Cetus by integrating with its openly-accessible smart contracts and SDKs.
Does Cetus have a token?
Yes, the governance token of Cetus is CET, which will be issued after the mainnet launch of Cetus protocol. Apart from the common governance utilities such as proposal rights and voting rights, a particular percentage of Cetus protocol revenue will be used for buying back CET from the market and refilling the CET pools on Cetus to continually support its market depth.

In this tutorial, I will show you the Cetus platform(Aptos mainnet) and how to swap and add liquidity to the pools.
We need an Aptos wallet, I will be using Martian for this tutorial. You can download it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/martian-wallet-aptos-sui/efbglgofoippbgcjepnhiblaibcnclgk After that, you will need to register a wallet. Write down the seed phrase and your wallet is ready.
The most common interaction with Dex is swaps. The token exchange mechanism is easy to understand, it consists in selling tokens for the number of destination tokens.
Let’s go to the site (https://app.cetus.zone/) Make sure you set Aptos in the settings

We have set up everything you need First, we will look at the swap, we see the token from above, and we will exchange this token for the one below it

Enter an amount that you want to swap into another token, press Swap button and confirm

Then, approve the transaction on the Martian wallet

Done! You swapped tokens 👏👏👏
Let’s move on to the category of pools, here we will already need tokens in the Aptos network. There are a lot of pools, three liquidity providers, LayerZero, Wormhole and Celer.
Let’s move on to adding liquidity to the pools

Here we see a list of pools with tokens, we can see how much liquidity is in each pair

Let’s go to the pool APT/zUSDC by clicking the button “Add Liquidity”. To add liquidity to pairs, we need both tokens, in this case, it’s APT and zUDC.

When you are sure that you have tokens, click “Add to pool” and Confirm

After this, you need to approve a transaction in the wallet. If you did everything right, you will get a window like this

If you see this window, congratulations, you add liquidity to the pool👏👏
Conclusion
I use the service very often because it is very fast and the commissions are not large. Of course, I am very pleased with the presence of a huge number of networks and the good work of the platform, without glitches and delays.
It’s also great that Cetus will work on the main Sui network as well. And also along the way, Cetus works with the above protocols LayerZero, Wormhole and Celer.
