On Tuesday, Dec 10, the 2025 Data License Auction concluded successfully.
There was a single bidder, WeatherXM AG (Zug, Switzerland), who entered the auction with the minimum bid of 100,000 $WXM. After the auction, the bidder transferred the amount to the Association's Revenue wallet (tx: 0x190709c48b0cfc60cfd92ac74beb9af8cbbc3a9b39b6e73872c6697d407f6fe4).
As a result, WeatherXM AG is the only entity allowed to use the Network's data commercially, during 2025.
The next auction will be held in November 2025. More details about licensing WeatherXM Network data can be found on our website.
The fees from the license auction bring the total WeatherXM Network Association revenue for 2024, to 650,000 USDC and 200,000 $WXM (pending any additional revenue that may occur during December 2024).

There was a single bidder, WeatherXM AG (Zug, Switzerland), who entered the auction with the minimum bid of 100,000 $WXM. After the auction, the bidder transferred the amount to the Association's Revenue wallet (tx: 0x190709c48b0cfc60cfd92ac74beb9af8cbbc3a9b39b6e73872c6697d407f6fe4).
As a result, WeatherXM AG is the only entity allowed to use the Network's data commercially, during 2025.
