Today, December 5, 2025 begins the 2026 Commercial Data licenses Auction.
As you know, WeatherXM data is free for non-commercial academic or personal use, but commercial uses require a Commercial Data License.
Each year, four (4) Licenses are auctioned in the previous year. The licensees get the rights to use the WeatherXM Network Data in their products, or build value-added services on top of the data (such as APIs).
The 2026 Licenses auction ends on December 19, 2025, at 00:00 GMT. The minimum bid is 100,000 $WXM. Licenses will be awarded to the top four bidders. This is an open-bid, English-style auction.
Participants must send their bid via email to ga@weatherxm.network. The subject line should be “2026 Data License Auction.” In the email, they must state the bid amount in $WXM and the wallet address holding equal or more $WXM.
