On Sunday, July 14, the 2024 Data License Auction concluded successfully.
There was a single bidder, WeatherXM AG (Zug, Switzerland), who entered the auction with the minimum bid of 100,000 $WXM. After the auction, the bidder transferred the amount to the Association's Treasury wallet (for the relevant transaction refer here).
As a result, WeatherXM AG is the only entity allowed to use the Network's data commercially, during 2024.
The next auction will be held in November 2024. More details about licensing WeatherXM Network data can be found on our website.
