Automata joins the Superchain
Automata Network is building a machine attestation layer that extends machine trust to Ethereum with TEE Coprocessors. Automata Network will launch Automata, an OP Stack chain, using its native token ATA as a custom gas token, along with the OP Stack implementation of Alt-DA using EigenDA for data availability.
Integrate OP Succint on Conduit
OP Stack chains on Conduit can now implement OP Succint, bringing fast finality, type-1 EVM equivalence and lower fees to their chain. After deployment, Conduit can convert chains to integrate OP Succint and seamlessly switch validation to ZK proofs.

Vote: Mission Requests Cycle 28
During this voting cycle, only one mission request was approved by the Grants Council: Increasing the Prevalence of Non-USD/EURO Stablecoins. This mission focuses on growing the liquidity of stablecoins that are not pegged to the dollar or euro on OP Mainnet. Voting ends on October 9th.

Collective Feedback Commission Pilot Retrospective
During the last 6 months, the Collective Feedback Commission was consulted by the Foundation in the design process of Season 6 and round designs. This retrospective shares learnings initial thoughts on the next Iiteration.

Research: Concentration of Power
Results of the Foundation Mission looking into the Concentration of Power in the Collective were published. The research report presents the Concentration of Power Index (CPI), an adaptation of Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), to measure its decentralization.

Applications Open for Retro Funding 6
Retro Funding 6 will reward contributions to Optimism Governance, including governance infrastructure & tooling, governance analytics, and governance leadership. Citizens will vote to decide the final size of the round, which will range between 1.1M and 3.5M OP.
This round rewards contributions made between October 2023 and September 18, 2024. Apply on retrofunding.optimism.io
Application Deadline: October 14th.
Cycle 28 Grants Preliminary Roundup
The prelimenary report for Cycle 28 grants has been published. 41 applications will move forward to the final review, which will be announced next thursday.
Missions continue to receive applications on a rolling basis.
