#W2E will be a recurring competition wherein we celebrate the unique and strange characteristics that embody our community. Simply put, be weird and earn $WEIRDO!

These contests are designed so that everyone is able to participate in, catering to all types of Weirdos! Our ambition is to be the gateway that bridges the masses into an onchain experience, and by participating in our W2E adventures you will be doing just that!

Our goal is to onboard the next million+ users to Base, and our #W2E competition will play a crucial role in achieving this. These contests are designed to be accessible to everyone, delightfully quirky, and, most importantly, they will bridge the gap between onchain and offchain experiences.

By participating, new users will create their first wallets and mint their first NFTs, marking the beginning of their onchain journey. We will be there to guide and support these new users as they explore this new frontier for the first time.

For our first competition, we want you to get out there and BE WEIRD! Take that shoe off and pose in front of the most iconic place that you can think of and upload it on our Competition page. Uplink will automatically connect you to Tweet out the image as a quote reply to our contest announcement as well!

Participants will have 10 days to send in the most iconic Weirdo photo and the $WEIRDO community will have 4 days to vote on the results.

PRIZES: $500, $300, $200 (To the top 3, paid out in $WEIRDO)*

START DATE: NOW - JULY 26 (2 AM GMT)

VOTE DATE: JULY 26 (2 AM GMT) - JULY 30 (2 AM GMT)

END DATE: JULY 30 (2 AM GMT)

REQUIREMENTS: Go out and get creative! Whether that be by the location you decide to take the photo in or the type of sock that you are wearing, there are no limits as long and it is up to the community to decide on which participant best deserves to win the prize.

Earn by voting! Users that vote for the winning entry will split a prize pool of $1,000 worth of $WEIRDO!*

Upon the beginning of the Voting period (2 AM GMT on July 26) users holding $WEIRDO will be able to vote AND BE REWARDED for voting!

Voting will be done anonymously and with all present votes hidden as to ensure nobody can game the system.

Ensure you have an onchain wallet capable of interacting with Uplink. This can either be Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, or any of the other supported wallets.

You will also need a small amount of Ethereum (couple of dollars) to cover any gas transactions when interacting onchain. Due to Base's cheap network fees even $1 will cover numerous transactions.
