Why you want uncapped supply

Controversial, but true, right?

Bitcoin has a fixed supply. That’s the whole point? Fuck that.

We should build cryptocurrencies with uncapped supply. Why? That’s how value actually works.

Imagine this economy. You buy a shirt. You never wear that shirt. It sits in a box in your closet. You sell that shirt to someone else. They also never wear that shirt. It sits in another closet until someone else buys it again. Shirts are never created or destroyed. They just move around according to some law of the conservation of shirts.

That’s a market economy. Better said, that’s a financial market, because there’s actually no fucking economy in the picture. That is the world through the bullshit lens of the average submissively managerial coastal elite and their work redestributive counterpart.

It’s a bullshit view.

The fundamental problem with this view is the false equivocation of money and value. Money is not value.

Value is created. Value is destroyed.

Money is transferred.

That makes money especially useful in markets of value. It allows for the effective allocation of resources.

That is not the world we are moving into. The world we are moving into is extremely productive. The allocation of resources is not relevant because resources are not scarce.

Software is eating the world, and in the past Napster tried to eat the music industry. It failed for the same reason Tesla was shut down at Wardenclyff. Where do you put the meter?

We are at the inception of digital money. Bitcoin has laid the foundation for digital cash.

It’s time to consider rebuilding the money printer.

Money should have a 1:1 relationship with value and realize that someone listening to a song is valuable. Intrinsically. You don’t need to convince them to part with some scarce resource. They already did. It’s called time.

Every unit of value produced should MINT a unit of cryptocurrency.

The exchange of this value can still be connected to a market, but the value never has been.

This cryptocurrency has an uncapped supply. Hopefully value is also uncapped.

Imagine a robot that 3D prints chairs. Without ever selling a chair, the robot should be issued a token. The productivity of the printer should be rewarded. This will create a race towards abundance.

What should that token be? Not btc. Not usd. An NFT of that chair. When the chair is destroyed, so is the NFT. Supply/demand is irrelevant. Supply is infinite.

The attention given to that chair represents a transfer in a market. That’s the point connected to economics as we understand it. The rest, is wild, instantaneous, free, valueless, perpetual wealth CREATION.

The new money should create wealth, not money. When a person is healthy, that should issue value from nothing. When a person is sick that should take value from nothing.

Our money should reflect nature. We should not make nature reflect our money.

Value is created. Value is destroyed. Value should be the money printer, not the Fed.

We can build currency that works like this.

We should build currency that works like this.

Digital value is not scarce; digital money should not be scarce.

Welcome to the true disruption.
