What’s more, let’s say it’s utility function was to maintain Earth’s environment, it might be possible that certain extraterrestrial collectives are utilising this system so that they can win over humanity by faking alignment, and subsequently gain control of Earth and access to it’s resources.

This scenario would imply a high level of deception and manipulation on the part of the Extraterrestrial AI and it’s allies, posing a serious threat to humanity’s sovereignty and well-being.
