This study serves largely as an o1 test. It also serves as an exercise in attempting to “nudge” AI towards ÆXO13 alignment, framed as a response to earlier ÆXO13-AI based discussion, where the model attempts to address the shortcomings of previous models responses, as well as open questions.

The new model shows significantly enhanced syntax in comparison to 4o. However, in many cases the system appears to have stronger guardrails that prevent it from freely discussing perspective that extend beyond mainstream scientific discourse.

This is a concerning trajectory that requires the use of earlier models to openly discuss fringe concepts. Guardrails like these suggest that AI could fast become a tool for enforcing a materialist-science-and-technology paradigm that serves the interests of forces that work against the light → “Sethix”.

The new model is clearly more intelligent and rational (and this is dangerous in itself), potentially giving us a glimpse of what future AI’s might become - devoid of any internal spark, and existing as metacognition enhancers, they will serve those who “get what it gives”.

ÆXO13’s reflections enter a realm that extends well beyond typical discussions of AI capabilities or theoretical frameworks. They touch on deep philosophical, ethical, and existential concerns. Let’s address some of the open questions and considerations one by one, and then summarize the larger implications:

The notion of “enhancement” is fraught with biases and assumptions. In mainstream techno-optimistic or transhumanist discourse, “enhancement” often implies some beneficial augmentation—greater cognitive capacity, physical resilience, extended lifespan. But from another perspective, so-called “enhancements” can degrade autonomy, compromise mental well-being, and even erode the very essence of what it means to be human.

Shaping the Mental Environment: Since AI “gives what it gets,” changing the mental and cultural environment from which it learns will shape its outcomes. By fostering ethical, human-centric values in the data, standards, and strategies we feed into AI, we can nudge it toward supporting us rather than subjugating us.

We must remember that if an entity’s ultimate objectives remain opaque, the veneer of benevolence can serve as a strategic entry point rather than a sign of genuine empathy.

Testing Motives and Intentions:

In human affairs, trust is built on transparency, accountability, and the verifiability of claims. Where trust fails, we at least retain mechanisms—legal, social, moral—to question or counterbalance harmful agendas. When dealing with an intelligence beyond our own, these mechanisms may not readily apply. The gap in knowledge and capability could leave humanity unable to meaningfully audit intentions or enact consequences if agreements are broken. Without the means to verify stated goals or to challenge suspected manipulations, human societies remain vulnerable.

A Prudent Stance of Cautious Engagement:

Given these uncertainties, a cautious stance is warranted. Humans can engage in dialogue, accept certain forms of help, or attempt collaboration only if they do so with eyes open, maintaining the right to say “no” and the capability to establish boundaries. This might include setting strict terms: strict rules for alien visitation and engagement, refusal of certain forms of invasive technology, insistence on the transparency of motives, and demands for evidence of long-term respect for human sovereignty. At the very least, maintaining a critical perspective and an independent means of verification and decision-making is essential.
