Today’s Web 3.0 wallet represents the owner in an anonymous state. Wallet keeps us and our assets safe, but on the other hand it cannot tell us more about people, as we hardly know their history, personalities or characteristics. It makes it difficult to start a communication with others, as we do not know how to communicate with strangers with too little anchors.
However, how we behave in current Web 3.0 doesn’t sound right to us since Web 3.0 should make people’s connections easier in a safe way, not more complicated. Thus, we try to incubate a “passport” conception, that every Web 3.0 user could have one or more passports of their own, which can be used to travel into different Web 3.0 products. For each passport, Web 3.0 user can have a self-selected persona (which can be a partly real or a completely virtual one with a personal touch) representing the user's self-expression in the Web 3.0 world as his or her desire, and also, the passport includes the historical information of the user on the chain or dApp as the basic KYC authentication.
The x-passport could be integrated into wallets, dApps, and any Web 3.0 Apps in the future. In the current milestone, we initially launch a visualized passport NFT to demonstrate our idea, and the integration API will come out soon in the next following months.
One xPassport could be read in such a structure as below:
Attribute, the information of attribute is completely objective data in the Blockchain, and it vouches the past experience of user.
NFT, the most recent traded non-fungible token
ENS, the ethereum domain name of user’s address
History, which includes(but not limited to in future):
Onboard Age, how long this address was created
Activity, more icons display, more frequency the user surfs in ethereum and dApp
Traded Volume: total amount of eth traded in this address
TXs: total amount of transactions executed in this address
Personalization, the information of personalization is completely subjective data, as the cognitive definition of the user's self, or the information that the user wants to be known by others.
Title：like a bio, or definition in current social apps. It is a tradable NFT, which requires global unique.
Decoration, to make your passport stand out, we offers 15625 card skin sets in total. Each set is a tradable NFT, which consists of a bordure(1/5), a blazon(1/25), a cockade(1/5), an epaulet(1/5) and a cufflink(1/5).
Start from https://xpassport.app, go and make your passport an honorable symbol of your Web 3.0 identity. You can mint a unique card skin as a tradable NFT, and then add several personalized titles to describe yourself to your future visitors. If you are lucky enough, you might get a very cool passport in the end as a whole.
Every minted card skin and title will be registered in Opensea automatically and could be traded there.
Beta Test
We are currently in beta version. So, xPassport only opens ethereum network and NFT mint only opens to ENS owner for now.
We will open 300 slots in beta test, and all the NFTs minted in Beta Test will be respected and migrated to fully launch.

We haven’t decided the time yet since the beta test is an really important phase for us to collect feedbacks from early adopters and address the improvement strategies from the community. We will announce the whitelist on twitter and discord on Feb 12, 20:00 PST. The mint is free, but you need to pay the gas fees by your own. Any unclaimed NFTs after this Beta Test will be forfeited and ownership will revert back to us.
