The AI agent meta is taking CT by storm. In terms of mindshare, an AI agent on Virtual Protocol is leading. We have AI agent launchpads like VIRTUAL hitting $3B MC and fresh ones popping up like $ARC.
Chains are embracing the AI meta with various small chains like zkSync’s $ZEEK and Aelf exploring their own AI agent launchpad, Aevatar.ai.
From the most basic functionality, AI agents on Twitter are able to be consistent and sturdy stewards of the projects they shill. Additional functionalities like being onchain sleuths like AIXBT and REI, and TA experts like GEMXBT and KWANT.
There has also been progress in bringing them onchain to carry out more impactful decisions and actions. ZEREBRO runs its own ETH validator and VADER and SEKOIA are AI agents with their own investment fund.
Projects like GRIFT and GRIFFAIN are working on prompts for onchain executions.
The future is agentic, regardless if its web2 or web3.
CAPY is my own experiment at building an AI agent that acts as a 10x marketing lead for Etherlink and Uranium.io. He will be the grand proxy for projects and KOLs to interact with Etherlink without having to be directly on the chain.
I recognise the friction of adopting a new chain and the costs as well. For projects to build and associate with Etherlink, its usually an uphill task with grant proposals and approvals. Not only for builders but users as well. Users are already on many chains and now have to bridge over to a new one without incremental benefits to do so.
The way around it? Awareness and exposure through a cute mascot first: CAPY.
CAPY Genesis are the first 34 NFTs on Etherlink to reward existing members.
We will have a game built in collaboration with Modd.io and powpow.fun, launching on Indie.fun for additional utility for CAPY. The game will have its own token on Solana, treasury will be managed transparently.
Next NFT collection to go live is COLLAB CAPY where we bring on CT KOLs and projects to have their own custom CAPY that they can rep.
The game will also act as a collaboration powerhouse for projects to market themselves within the game, with a keen feature of projects within Etherlink as priority.
All this draws towards the confluence of attention which will indirectly end up with them exploring Etherlink and its ecosystem of apps.
CAPY NFTs will also have a rebase feature whereby genesis holders will receive subsequent derivatives of CAPYs.
The next collection will be pixelated CAPYs that are to be used as in-game avatars.
This takes after the Berachain NFTs which famously used rebasing to reward early and existing holders while expanding their holder distribution to new users. Original NFTs will accrue higher valuations and the subsequent rebase NFTs will be of lower value so that users can enter at an affordable price point.
Besides games, we are working with Mycelium for CAPY NFTs to have programmable IP on Story Protocol, making it easy for users to customise and create their own CAPYs with Mycelium’s tools.
My base thesis is the need for collaboration regardless of chains. With the advancement of chain abstraction and seamless bridging, it isn’t a matter of locking projects up with chain exclusivity agreements or siloed incentive activities. We should aim to move along with the future and promote cross chain ecosystem collaboration and value creation.
