What is YuetDAO? 🌕 🚀

YuetDAO (or in Chinese 粵DAO) is a DAO in Hong Kong that consists of investors, operators and contributors that share one single common goal: to bridge Hong Kong to the global web3 community.

“Yuet” is taken from the word “粵” which means Cantonese (or Chinese); and YuetDAO is also a pun in Cantonese meaning “acupuncture point” (穴道). In traditional chinese medicine, the process of acupuncture releases energy or “chi” and restores balance to the body by stimulating the body’s acupuncture points using needles.

YuetDAO plays a similar role in the Hong Kong web3 community; by injecting energy into the ecosystem the way that acupuncture injects energy into our body. YuetDAO aims to achieve this by providing a platform in Hong Kong for the local crypto community to come together and learn more about crypto as web3 continues to evolve.

“Yuet” also is a pun for “月”; which means “Moon” and also the reason we picked a moon-themed design for our logo! YuetDAO will stand as your ultimate partner on the voyage TO THE MOON! 🌕 🚀

What do we want to achieve?

We believe Hong Kong has much to offer to web3 and we are firmly believers that the next tech revolution will be driven by crypto through actively educating the local crowd with content creation, organizing and participating in events (yes, both online and offline), we could achieve the ultimate mission of “bridging Hong Kong to the global web3 community”.
