It’s on days like today, where the founder of the social network I post on highlights my purchase (for the price of a small car) of a piece the artist himself called literal “dogshit”, that I’m especially thankful this account is anonymous.

Obviously market is even smaller and it might be 3 years too early, but I would’ve loved to see the “instagram for nfts” version of social trading instead of “twitter for memecoins”.

It can be re-injected into the model to produce any kind of self portrait of the artist. A portrait that contains all other portraits. To me, a defining portrait of the AI era.

K-Meanearest Neighbors by Helena Sarin and Dmitri Cherniak. A fantastic combination of generative and ai art. Hedonistic adjustment to AI advances is mind boggling. If you had told me in 2014 that in 10y we would have: - solved the turing test - ai output for writing/images/songs/code at human fidelity - Computer from star trek (Data is maybe 3-5 years away) And yet, it's a normal Wednesday just like any other back then

AI today feels oddly reminiscent of COVID in Jan 2020. There's evidence of massive change right in front of your eyes, but most of the world is either ignorant or in denial that their way of life is going to be completely disrupted. I don't think we're ready for society's reaction when they finally realize it.
