Living in nowhere mid-America, I've never felt more divorced from the rest of the US than right now No one I know uses an AI or talks about it in any meaningful way. I've heard no talk about AI doomerism. There is ZERO existential dread about tech and the future. Meanwhile on my timeline (largely big-city costal ppl) that's the only thing I'm reading about and it's apparently moving the stock market. I can't tell if this is March 2020 all over again where I'm waiting for ppl to wake up or if few to none of the jobs in my area are displaceable
