I'd say 2005-2015 was the time when the tech forward thought everything would be online, everyone would be connected 24/7, connectivity would be in every corner of the globe and local compute would be inessential
funnily enough, everything about connectivity came true (smartphones, 5G, Starlink) and simultaneously local compute has never been more in demand
At this point, I think it's reasonable to assume that both connectivity and compute have infinite demand
- infinite cloud compute
- infinite edge compute
- infinite bandwidth speeds
plan accordingly
