Back then, words had value.
Scratching an 11-taka recharge card would get you 100 SMS.
Each SMS had a limit on the number of characters. Even if your balance ran out while talking, there was no option to recharge online. So every word had to be written with care and thought. To type a single “s,” you had to press the keypad four times—yet no one complained.
If an SMS got too long, it had to be cut short before sending. There was no stress about green ticks. No way to see who was online or offline. After every message, there was a wait of two or three minutes. You would save SMS separately just to say “good night” at night and “good morning” in the morning.
There were no emojis then. Emotions had to be understood through feelings.
Back then, words had value, emotions had value, waiting had value, and effort had value. ❤️
Those days were better than today.
