how I design/create apps these days:
1. Figma: start with one screen
- arguably most important screen, visual summary of the app
- I reference screenshots. I don't find AI design tools good enough yet
2. Claude code/Xcode: feed that one screen into an app
- install it on my phone
- doesn't need any other screens. just that one screen
- no backend. just simulate what it feels like
3. Beta test: only me
- see if I'm sold within a week or two
- do I keep using it? do more things ahead flow into me naturally?
4. Polish/Validate: Calude code/Xcode + Gemini for assets + Pinterest
- as I polish, run experiments talking about the app on tiktok/ig depending on what the app is about
5. Prep to go live: Amplitude + Revenue Cat
- minimum measure to be able to observe how people use it
- monetization in place
then I shoot. a lot for 1 person, but 10x simpler than how it was 10 years ago
