I almost thought my first NFT deployment didn’t count. After deploying my NFT on Base, I couldn’t verify the contract on BaseScan, and for a moment it honestly felt like all the effort meant nothing. I spent time trying to understand what went wrong, and realized the issue wasn’t a mistake on my side. BaseHub deploys NFTs using a factory contract and handles the compilation settings behind the scenes, which makes manual verification difficult to reproduce. The contract was already live the whole time. Ownership was recorded. The creation was real. Verification doesn’t make an NFT exist — deployment does. This journey has been teaching me patience and curiosity more than anything else. Every step starts with confusion, then slowly turns into clarity. Still learning. Still creating.
