UZI
The UZI is a family of Israeli open-bolt, blowback-operated submachine guns. Smaller and lighter than similar firearms of its caliber, the UZI was designed and patented by Uziel Gal in the late 1940s. The first UZI submachine gun was produced by Israel Military Industries (IMI) in 1950. It has been exported to over 90 countries and used by military and police forces around the world.
