Some % of the population will touch metal in some way or the other, but it'll be nerdy (probably present-day crypto twitter) I think that the core job of teams building in crypto is to make the real world legible to the blockchain and turn real-world activities and assets into onchain assets that can be moved and traded against by people who know how.
