did anyone catch the 31 Minutos Tiny Desk? it was a blast — but they didn’t play “La Regla Primordial” (the primordial law): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXo9vmNCC2w (this is from a chilean kids show btw) one of the artists said it’s his fave — he even cried when his friend first demoed it. it’s about a new kid in the neighborhood who wants to join some friend group, but they keep switching the game before he can build his own tools. soccer → needs shoes ping pong → needs a racket reading → needs a book until he finally snaps and confronts them. turns out they’re a club with a single rule: always do something original. they never had anything against this kid. they even loved his perseverance, had him join the club, and now he will never be bored again. the rules keep changing. you’re not the center of the world. nobody owes you anything. it takes time to belong somewhere. if something’s bugging you, speak up. be original. persevere. have fun.
