In other news, the first semester of Japanese school is done. Started right afrer I came back from Vermont (time flies). In preparation for the spring semester, been down the learning rabbit hole this whole morning.
For my Wanikani fans, I recommend checking out the community forum - found a new bonkers learning app there today, built by a community member. It’s called Kakehashi (currently it’s iOS only but you can go tell him you need it for Android - it’s in the works)
The guy integrated Wanikani with some real-life Japanese sources (NHK news clips, anime (limited list but it works), Jpop songs, and likely something else that I haven’t seen yet. And here’s the most important part - stroke order training for all the kanji you’ve learned.
I used to just write these in my workbook after consulting Jishou and Remembering the Kanji, but it was eating up way too much of my time. I chose to focus on reading for now but the writing practice in the app is a life saver
