This is not the first time well-paid think-tanks try to shame leftists with "campism" in the early days of yet another imperial invasion & resource extraction. The problem with this folk who fall for this multi-decade propaganda isn't necessarily they're "evil" or even "naive or stupid", often these are smart people who fall for it. They're just simply short-sighted. I just remember the time when I was told by this Twitter friend "leftists have lost the plot", calling me "insensitive" after surfacing Palestinians' suffering the day after Oct-7th. Leftists knew what was about to happen. He admitted being wrong later. Every single time these "tankie, campist, etc" allegations towards the left came out, the end result was leftists were right. They did it in Vietnam. Leftists were proven right within a decade. Iraq: Leftists were proven right within a few years. Libya: Within months. Gaza: Weeks. Venezuela: Days. Iran: ....
