As a user who has been on Base since day one, I’m genuinely excited to see these. It feels clear that Base is on the right path.
1. On creators and non-financial use cases
I agree with "bringing the creator economy onchain and the importance of non-financial use cases …", but simply providing tools for creators to go onchain may not be enough.
Onchain creator platforms require real operations. They require great creators who are willing to consistently create, grow their communities, and take responsibility for the tokens they launch. That is a very high bar. When the tools move too fast but the core, the creators themselves, have not caught up, the flywheel does not spin forward, it can turn negative.
2. Trading as the most crypto-native primitive
Trading is truly one of the most crypto-native activities. It is a first principle. Traders need to be served better and protected, from rugs, from snipers free-riding on launches, and from becoming disillusioned by a market flooded with low-quality tokens.
That means better trading tools and a better overall experience, which is why I have agreed with the idea of "social + wallet". It also means surfacing and amplifying high-quality assets. Base has strong builders and quality projects, but they may need more attention relative to the noise of low-quality coins. This has improved somewhat, but there is still room to grow.
3. Empowering builders and decentralizing impact
I am very glad to see Base doing more to empower builders, "giving people a platform (with distribution + capital) and the tools to measure and scale their impact".
More great builders can lead to better products and higher-quality, long-term assets, which in turn may attract more users and traders. I believe Base has the potential to make the entire ecosystem more vibrant, whether it is standalone apps or mini apps, whether it is AI, gaming, prediction markets, DeFi, or other areas.
Base did a great job capturing the recent wave of AI agent tokens. The idea of Base as the economic layer for AI agents has gradually taken hold. It has also helped the team see the positive feedback loop that can come from supporting high-quality projects.
Now Base feels back on track. I truly believe the future can be even more prosperous, and I am very much looking forward to what is ahead.
