First, we have common doubt that Different between discipline and self discipline?
In a simple note, if you are doing something in the fear or by comment is discipline in a order or pattern already set. But, if your doing something simple because for yourself without any complications. That is self discipline.
Self discipline is nothing but assertion of will power over basic desires. It means to keep the promises you make and committed to being true to yourself.
Here I come up with few tips that I use in my life to achieve Self Discipline.
“Taking the first step is the hardest part”
Remove temptation :
Basically our brain is developed to avoid all kinds of pain , struggles or effort. If you have to choose between rather you work or watching series. Your brain choose watching series. So avoid all kind of temptation around you. Temptation is nothing but the action or desire that stop you from doing your work to reach your goal. Don’t chase your instant pleasure that stop you to reach your goal.
Don’t wait for right time:
We all think that this is not right time to start and waiting for right time to do that work. Actually that totally wrong, there is no right time to start .“just start” .
Actually, every time I think to create a new habit I procrastinate for silly reason like wholesome day from 1st of next month.
“if it was easy everyone would do it”
Set Goals:
We all set a goal right. Then why this tip ?. There comes a reason after setting up a goal we start something and drop in a few days because of losing faith. Due to settings unrealistic goals. So always set a realistic and achievable goals.
Think Longterm:
If you felling to quit, think about the long term of a effect of your today’s work. Your future is what you are doing today. So think about longterm.
Build a habit:
If the task or work that need to be done every single day create a that task as a routine or habit. By doing next to some work like after meditation need to read books likewise. There is 21/90 days rule which means 21 days take to build a habit and 66 days to ingrain a habit and 90 days to form a lifestyle. After you created a habit it goes in flow of life.
“if you know exactly the steps to reach your goal then the goal is too small”
