A little bit about IRYS :
is an innovative blockchain infrastructure that combines scalable data storage with programmability, focused on the needs of artificial intelligence and Web3.
Irys allows you to embed logic directly into the data stored on the blockchain. This means that data can automatically interact with smart contracts, execute instructions, manage access rights, and initiate transactions without the need for external databases or oracles.
IrysVM is a high-performance virtual machine compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) that allows you to directly interact with data stored on the blockchain. This ensures efficient execution of smart contracts and integration with existing Ethereum tools.
Irys uses a tiered architecture with two main ledgers: Submit Ledger for temporary data storage and validation, and Publish Ledger for long-term, verified storage. This allows for flexibility in storing data with different expiration dates.
To ensure security and decentralization, Irys combines a useful Proof of Work (PoW) and staking. Miners need to stake resources to activate a mining address, which prevents spam and ensures commitment. PoW ensures network security, and the economic model incentivizes honest data storage.
Irys integrates with Arweave to provide permanent data storage. When you upload data to Irys, you are immediately given a receipt that contains an identifier that can be used to instantly download your data, along with attribution, authorship details, and a time stamp accurate to the millisecond.
Decentralized AI training: Thanks to Irys' programmable data and integration with Arweave, datasets for AI models can be stored unchanged and accessed transparently. This makes it ideal for decentralized machine learning, where training data must be verified and protected from unauthorized access.
Social media platforms: Using programmable data logic, social platforms can store posts, likes, and follower data in a chain, allowing for censorship-resistant user-generated media.
Persistent NFT metadata: Traditional NFTs store metadata off-chain, which creates the risk of broken links. With Irys, metadata and files (e.g., images, audio) can be stored permanently and securely, which solves the main problem of NFTs.
Smart legal agreements: Legal documents can be stored and automated using programmable logic in IrysVM, where clauses are automatically executed based on predefined triggers.
Irys isn't just a storage layer. It's:

Trustless – All logic and data are verifiable on-chain.
Developer-friendly – EVM compatibility means you can use existing Ethereum tooling like Hardhat, Remix, and MetaMask.

** Tooling and SDKs**:
Irys provides JavaScript and Rust SDKs, making it easy for both frontend and backend developers to integrate decentralized storage and logic into their dApps.
Built-in support for Arweave makes long-term storage as simple as an API call.
