I grew up in a small North Carolina town right off I-95 where I was homeschooled, and surrounded by my five siblings every day. I had an amazing childhood in a home filled with love and music. As long as I can remember I played instruments, piano first, then picked up guitar around 7 or 8. I fell in love with guitar and spent a lot of my time learning how to play and sing acoustic covers of my favorite songs.
Although I grew up playing music every day, it never seemed like a feasible option for a career. I had dreams of living in Los Angeles or NYC but neither seemed realistic. I knew it would take a lot of sacrifices to end up in either of those cities. I decided to put my focus on another passion for most of my adolescence, basketball. I spent hours upon hours working on my game, something that I wasn’t naturally gifted with. But after a few years of working hard, it seemed like a college basketball scholarship wasn’t unrealistic.

After transferring to a prestigious prep school in North Carolina and playing under Chicago Bulls star, Coby White, my sophomore year. I received the opportunity to perform live in Arizona with the viral YouTube music group, Cinematic Pop. A collective that covers popular/iconic music with a full orchestra and choir. They flew me out all expenses paid and gave me the opportunity to perform “Sunday Candy” by Chance the Rapper in front of a few thousand fans. The experience was life-changing. Being on stage with over 100 talented musicians was a feeling unlike anything I had experienced before. The crowd loved it and multiple people told me I stole the show. After the show, I had a blockbuster movie producer approach me and tell me he thought I’d be perfect for the starring role in his next film alongside Adam Sandler. After meeting with him at my parents' AirBnB nothing ever materialized but his co-sign was enough for my 16-year-old self to see there was a path for me to make music my career.
After flying back to North Carolina, I had a lot of long conversations with my parents about allowing me to move in with my older brother who was also a soloist for Cinematic Pop and was living in Arizona at the time. After a lot of back and forth, they realized that moving was probably the best thing for me and would allow me to graduate high school a year early. At the start of my Junior year, I packed my things and flew out to live with my brother.
While I was able to play more shows, in Arizona, I was unable to get solid enough recordings produced to release music on streaming platforms. I saw some minor organic success on the demos I released on SoundCloud but was unable to find a producer to help me release fully fleshed-out records. Through Cinematic Pop, I had the opportunity to record and release Sunday Candy with the London Symphony Orchestra, a track that is nearing a million streams on Spotify. I continued playing acoustic coffee shop shows fairly regularly and performed one more time with Cinematic Pop before Covid hit. This time I not only performed covers but was given the opportunity to perform one of my original songs.

I graduated High School and decided to enroll in college in a business marketing program. I quickly learned that college wasn’t where I was meant to be. I recall many phone calls with my mom, sharing that I felt I was wasting my time and learning nothing. During the end of my freshman year, Covid-19 became a big concern and resulted in all students being kicked off campus. I decided to not return the following year and join the workforce while focusing my energy on writing and producing songs that were up to my standards.
I began working on my songs with a childhood friend, and talented producer, .With the Strangers. remotely, sending demos back and forth. Finally creating music I was happy to release on streaming services. Once we had a solid bank of songs ready to go, I decided it was time I made the jump to Los Angeles and began living out of my car for the next few months, bouncing from place to place, couch to couch. We released our first single in January of 2022 and proceeded to release 9 more songs over the next 12 months, seeing growth with every release. Last year we played five shows and countless open mics, opened for one of my favorite artists, had multiple label A&Rs reach out and a ton of other great opportunities came our way completely organically. While a lot of my goals for 2022 weren’t met, looking back it was clearly a year full of growth. I know the foundation has been laid for 2023 to be the year that changes my life forever. I’m thankful to be in the position I am beginning the new year and can’t wait to see what it holds for us.

As we make this jump into the Web3 space, I hope to bridge the gap for listeners that are already interested in Web3 but may not fully understand the application when it comes to how we consume music as fans. I truly believe this is the next frontier for musicians to really connect with their truest fans on a level that is unprecedented in the music industry. If you’ve supported us already, thank you so much, it truly means the world to me. If you haven’t, it’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon ;~D
