EigenLayer is a protocol that helps secure other services and blockchains by re-stacking $ETH. The team creates quite an interesting and useful project, which cannot be described in two words. You can read more about the technology and the project here .
EigenLayer has raised $65 million in investments from Tier-1 funds: Blockchain Capital, Polychain, Coinbase Ventures and others. The project is followed by a lot of big Inflows, the founders of Paradigm, Multicoin Capital, as well as people from Binance Labs and a16z. And that's not a complete list.
Plus, they have a very strong team whose members have PhDs, and the founder worked at Microsoft and Qualcomm.
A few days ago, the project announced a testnet, which will take place in three phases: retasking, node launch, validation of other networks. At the moment, only phase 1 is available. You can read more about the testnet here . Also read the official testnet guide.
What to do?
First you need to get $goerliETH in some cranes you can choose from: 1 , 2 , 3 or buy on Testnet Bridge
Now we need to get $stETH. To do this, send $goerliETH to address 0x1643E812aE58766192Cf7D2Cf9567dF2C37e9B7F. Then you need to add this address to your MetaMask under "Import Token" so that it will appear in your wallet.
Then we get $rETH. We go to the site and steak Goerli $ETH in exchange for $rETH.
Steak the obtained tokens on the site .
Leave feedback in Discord on #testnet-feedback.
There is no information about the project's token yet. However, their Whitepaper under Governance states that one management option could be a DAO analog with a token. That said, they want to avoid possible centralization and abuse of token ownership, so they are considering other options.
