Sei Network consensus model is an iterative revision of the standardized version of "Tendermint", which breaks it down to suit specific needs of the DeFi sector. It is a twin-turbo consensus model that consists of two features: intelligent block propagation and optimistic block processing. The combination of the components of Sei Network allows it to reach finality in 600 milliseconds – notably less than the finality time of 1 second for Cosmos-built Tendermint BFT consensus mechanism, and also more slow than the finality time of cosmos-built Tendermint BFT consensus mechanism. In the blockchain system, intelligent block propagation is an effective way of transmitting block ideas in a blockchain system that increases the efficiency of the disseminating and disseminating systems such that consensus and validity can occur more efficiently. The process of random gossiping is used to share the transaction with other nodes, when a user submits a transaction to the network. After receipt, validators initially verify the transaction for validity and then add it to their local mempool. The block proposers then create the state of their mempool and make them for commitment. Block proposers then create new blocks based on the state of their mempool and propose them for commitment. In the past, block proposers were able to send the full version of the block to validators, but with intelligent propagation, only one is sent that includes all transaction in the block. The hash of every transaction in the block is included in this proposal. The proposal is unique transaction identifiers and a reference to the full block; this transactional information is sent in parts and gossiped to the network. This transactional information is sent in parts and gossiped to the network. A validator already has the transaction contained in the proposal, it can reconstruct the full block and verify its details quickly. It is not required to wait for the full block to arrive. As soon as validators have all the transactions, either by reconstructing it yourself or wait for full-block to arrive in time and receive an order, the Tendermint BFT consensus mechanism is used to agree on the transaction order. Optimistic block processing is more like the Tendermint consensus mechanism in how it enables the Sei Network to offer users a better trading experience through lower latency and efficient finality. It also relates more to the Tendermint consensus mechanism in how it enables the Sei Network to offer users a better trading experience through lower latency and efficient finality. On The BFT approach of the Tendermint BFT, it is as follows: in order to prevote, then pre-commit step and after that an advance step, thereby creating state changes relevant for the block are committed to chain. The validators will begin the task of processing transactions under optimistic block processing, and wait for the pre-commit step. In the case of first block proposals, validators will optimistic process them by writing an altered state after transaction in one of the subblocks to cache. As a result of the acceptance of this block, no processing is required as the state changes stored in cache will be committed to the chain; otherwise, the cache will be cleared and an optimistic new one will be added to the chain.
