There was once a city in total darkness, with no streetlight illuminating the way. In this darkness stands a man determined to find his way home from work. He is unmoved by the fear of finding his way, for he knows that the key to reaching his destination lies in his ability to focus on the immediate steps ahead.
As he entered his car, he was approached by a fellow worker who was amazed at his confidence amidst such overwhelming darkness. When asked how he plans to navigate the lightless city, the man simply replies, "Even though the whole city is in total blackout, I only need to see the next 100-200 steps ahead with my car's headlight to get to my destination."
This is a simple story but a powerful metaphor for life. In times of uncertainty and darkness, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the unknown, paralyzed by fear of the obstacles that might lie ahead. Yet, like the determined man, we must remember that we only need to see the next 100-200 steps before us. By focusing on the immediate actions we can take right now, we can navigate through even the darkest times, moving closer to our goals.
I remember I used to be a naïve gentleman, determined to succeed, intelligent and hard-working, but I made many mistakes. I started working as a mobile phone technician and love my work, but working under a boss can be a pain in the ass. My workplace became quite unpleasant, but I was scared to leave. As you’d expect, I believe God will do something.
I believed and started having the “One-day” imagination. “One day, someone will save me,” “One day, someone will look at me and say, you deserve better, I want to help,” “One day, someone will sponsor me to work and study abroad.” Etc.
But the truth is that “Nobody Cares.” Self-pity can’t get you anything until you stand up for yourself and take what you want and deserve from life. It took me many years to understand that there’s no award for the most suffering man. And this is the mistake many of us make, hoping someone will someday fix us.
If you don’t use your life, someone else will help you use it, and they will use it recklessly. I have been used for several years, but ON THIS DAY in 2022, I got angry and left my phone repair work without a backup plan. I got mad with the life I live, my current position, and the income I make. To be honest, I haven’t been that angry before in my life, perhaps because my life was on the line.
I don’t even know what the future holds or which work next to go for, but I was focused on the next 100-200 steps. I know I just have to know what to do next, but unlike the driver in the above story, I was damn scared. However, all my days being a phone guy, I get inspired when I have customers who come fix their phones and are willing to pay high sums to get their stuff fixed. I want to be in that position too, besides I want to be able to help my mom, family, etc. At that point, I knew I had to do something.
I went into CRYPTO full-time, and it took me a few months to figure out what I could do. I tried many things, and here you are, reading whatever I have written here because I became a blockchain writer. I have written over 100+ Twitter threads and articles for clients and myself. I have made money I never thought imaginable for myself, don’t get too excited for me; I lost chunks of it to wallet hacks, rug pulls, and unprofitable investments I have been profitable.
Lastly, if you’re reading this and you’re at that point in your life where you’re unsure of your future, just focus on the next 100-200 steps, and before you know it, you’re on the right path and getting closer to your destination.
This is all I have to say to you, and thanks for reading. I hope this inspires someone out there.
