The Moonlit River

Beneath the silver moon, the river flows so wide,

A gentle breeze whispers secrets it cannot hide.

On distant shores, the willow branches sway,

As stars above light up the night like day.

A lonely boat drifts slowly with the tide,

With dreams and hopes and memories inside.

The fisherman sings a song of ancient lore,

Of love and loss and what life has in store.

The water shimmers, dancing in the light,

Reflecting all the beauty of the night.

Though time may pass and seasons come and go,

This peaceful scene will never cease to glow.
