As a web developer who has actively been participating in pushing the boundaries of web 2.0 for over a decade, and witnessing first-hand how far we’ve come in terms of web 2.0 end-user experience as well as developer experience, being here at the inception stages of web 3.0 is an extremely exciting time.
Sure, it still feels a little clunky and niche at the moment, but all new tech does in the beginning. Not everyone has the techincal chops nor the patience to deal with wallet extensions, withdrawing funds from CEX’s, or bridging tokens from layer-1’s to their favorite side-chains or rollups. However, the beginnings of web 2 were also clumsy, full of security holes, and borderline infuriating to publish content to. Sooner rather than later, web3 integration will be a ubiquitous as Twitter posts and Google account SSO authentication.
Although web3 is still a toddler, clumsily walking along, platforms like mirror protocol and frameworks like Moralis.js are already innovating in this space and drastically improving the experience of publishers and developers alike. It won’t take web3 nearly as much time to mature as it did for web1 or web2, because new tech gets built on top of the shoulders of their giant parents.
Strap in, because this really is going to be a wild ride.
