The thrill of most stories is that we know that there is some sort of inherent fantasy of it all right, or is it just me? I think back at how we got here all the time and all I can think about is me sitting with a pen and soon then a keyboard click-clacking away itching to tell this story about a haunted movie theater! don’t ask . Point is from haunted movie theater came a novel about zombies and that was my first handwritten chapter book. My creativity at this time was so young and so endless. This brings me to now where I feel that same spark again, but this times me learning to listen to the community.

Storytelling in Web 3 is a very interesting dynamic to me for many reasons. The biggest reality for me is that being 23, Black, Queer, and working full time in Web 3 is a blessing, but also a story in itself. When I truly think of my earliest forms of writing I tend to think about how can I use that in Craft The Future. Craft The Future is meant to be a place for creative entrepreneurs of color to find presence and awareness in the stories they want to tell.

Time really continues to fly here at Craft The Future because in the past month we were able to really build relationships with partners and establish them in what truly has been really such a short amount of time.
As we slowly build our community our biggest goal was for it to remain organic as long as possible because we are learning how important the impact needed to be amongst ourselves. Our newest member Contessa Louise Cooper is an amazing and talented black woman in tech connected with over Brunch: Black Woman In Web 3 Event at Odyseey DAO who has not only been an amazing delight in all-hands meetings, but she shows up in other spaces amongst the web 3 community maintaining representation and consistency.
Outside of Craft The Future, I am a contributor at Aragon Network DAO and throughout this experience, I am able to really and truly see how the community can really provide a source of true support for individuals. Turning community into employment might have been the best thing that might have happened to me. Call me selfish, however, being able to provide a new opportunity for Nicole our amazing copywriter to Contessa the master of showing up and representing is what drives me to achieve in all corners.
The clients are personal to Craft The Future they were here before the seed even was planted and some were met at just the right time. Currently, Craft The Future holds 3 clients across 4 different industries Storytelling, Token Exchange, Nail Tech, and Custom Printing. Each industry has an owner with a story attached to a dream. I do feel it is important that we protect our clients’ ideas while giving them the freedom to grow in the community.

Nifemi Aluko is the Founder and CEO of kpakpakpa Inc - an information and advisory company that assists business builders with enterprise expansion across the African continent.
Throughout his various endeavors, music plays a central piece in his journey. Although music is his primary creative outlet, almost 90% of the compositions Nifemi creates do not see the light of day (buried in the hard drives of his laptops). Yet, his other interests in technology, business, and sports keep him inspired to connect with fellow explorers, tinkerers, and entrepreneurs such as himself.
Nifemi is also the author of the book ‘PRESS PLAY’, which takes a critical look at how music can be used to build community, empower people, and drive radical change. He also recently published his first science fiction novel ‘TOFFY’S DIVIDE’, a commentary on our relationship with technology in a divided city run by one mega-corporation in the year 2049.

I know it might be a little too early before to be whispering spookiness in the air, but it’s not too late to let everyone know that October is going to be a big month not just for Craft The Future, but the entire state of Wisconsin.
October is Wisconsin Tech Month an initiative led by the Milky Way Tech Hub in partnership with WI Voices and Latinos in Tech to enable the entire state of Wisconsin to unite around the purpose of fostering fair chances and encouraging significant innovation in both industry and society. Tech events across the state aim to give the general public the skills and information needed to find their voices in technology through policy and law.
Our partnership plays a role in ensuring content is being driven out towards all channels, but also playing as a Web 3 voice in the community of Milwaukee. So be on the lookout for future events if you live in the Milwaukee, WI area!
We have been able to establish strong partnerships with NO Studios. NO Studios is an art collective co-working community that fosters community by activating its space to be curated towards what the community wants to see.
We are planning to establish stronger relationships with Storytellers, Musicians, and many other artists going down the road. Starting those conversations has been awesome members already doing amazing work in the community such as Ian McCullough a talented musician and founder of NFT MKE. If you live in the Milwaukee area and you want to gather in the community over NFTs check out the website and join the Eventbrite page!
So I know we talked about a lot, but overall leave with this for now. We are building a presence so we can tell our story. We encourage anyone to reach out to us on all channels.
