Hey. So we have a problem in proving what is true and what is false. Straight up video and photo don’t cut it no more. Thank you deep video A.K.A. deep fakes. Sure we can currently detect artifacts auto-baked-in to these AI monstrosities but that will soon be a thing of the past. These algos will get so good that no more will be the artifacts. Then we are fucked.

Hold up bub. Not so fast. The savior edge of the double edged techno sword will save the day. It will consist of special hardware that:

1. Encrypts each frame

2. Converts each frame of video into an NFT

3. Saves it to the blockchain.

So while I still think it’s hackable, I think it’s much less likely for a real-time deepfake attack. And then forget about deepfaking it once it’s on chain. I mean, never say never but yeah. Highly unlikely.

I’m sure I am missing something but that is the jist of it.
