Now Is Not The Time

I believe any media has the right to silence someone after it has been proven there was a crime committed and the reputation and health of both the media company and its viewers are at risk.  What is not okay is to do what YouTube did in pretending to play judge and jury and demonize Russell Brand before he had his day in court.

Let’s be clear this had nothing to do with the allegations being made and actions that may or may not have taken place decades ago.  Many of which have been known by many for years, as he was very open about the life he led which was out of control to a certain extent because of his addiction to drugs and lack of making the changes that were necessary at that time.   This is simply another big tech company silencing someone who has been very vocal about how our governments are mishandling almost everything they touch, covering up for families in power so they can avoid media attention, spending billions of dollars the US does not have on a war the majority of the population is against while shelling out a few hundred dollars to the families that lost everything in the Lahaina fire which had a lot to do with government negligence.  Of course he never left out the problems at the border that are destroying this country and being ignored by the MSM who has been out to lunch for a decade.  Thank God there are a few in journalism who still remember what they were taught in college and why they went into that line of work as a career.  They too are now being intimidated and it is only going to get worse unless the people rise up and say enough.  Just last week the UK Parliament sent a letter to Chris Pavlovski, CEO of Rumble telling him to do the same.  They did not get the response back they were hoping for so expect the UK and US to take it to the next level and find some SEC violation like they are doing with Elon Musk.  These are all examples of the media working hand in hand with governments to shut down voices that disagree with policy and also eliminating political opposition as in the case of former President Trump, who will also not stand down.  Many on the Left are applauding these third world acts, but remember party affiliation isn’t always used just against conservatives as it was with President Trump, Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, Matt Walsh, and more.  Russell Brand, Matt Taibbi, Glenn Greenwald are all progressives with a spine who are experiencing the same levels of disrespect for their right to speak up when there are obvious acts of corruption.  One day you may say or write something that will be contrary to their views and it will be your turn to be told to go to your room, or even worse.  This is another issue that could be settled by those we elect to office and an important factor to consider when you vote in November 2024.  Are you going to stand with a candidate who is wearing blinders and will go along with the censorship cartel. or someone not afraid to voice their opinion and face whatever backlash comes?  I am with the latter and will speak up anytime I see wrong and can bear whatever is thrown at me because it is that important.  The last ten years has brought too much of casually dismissing the US constitution, but has gotten even worse the last five years.  I fear that 2024 will bring this all to a climax unless there are some we elected who have the rocks to stand up and put an end to this.  I have had the opportunity to travel all over this planet during my 40+ years working in the travel and entertainment industry.  Trips to China, Russia, Venezuela, and Cuba were enough for me to know I would never want to be trapped living in a country where everyone wants out and no one is free to do much of anything except work and give half of their income to the government with little in return.  Each of those countries is filled with beautiful people with broken hearts and many with a dream of living in a place like the US.  Unable to get visas to travel outside their countries, censorship by the government on what they can and can’t watch, serious penalties for criticizing their governments,, very little chance of living the middle class life most of us take for granted.

Our education system doesn’t explain what it is really like for the people there and they sugar coat the advantages of socialism and focus too much on what our country did rather than how it moved forward.  There were things that were allowed to happen that should not have been, but only traces of those exist today and too many want to ignore that and convince everyone we are all evil and socialism is the only way it can be fixed.  I have gay friends living in Russia and Cuba who are not even allowed to express publicly who they are, yet too many young Americans overlook that and see a utopia.  The MSM and social media almost have us on a bus to living a life in one of these horrible countries, but I won’t get on and I hope others join me.
