Hello Hello! It’s me again, and today I’m coming back with one of another new Exchange that seems to have a very interesting features and roadmap.
Vision of Firefly team mentioned that they want to have an exchange that push the limits of DeFi by making DeFi faster, less expensive, more accessible and technologically robust than ever before. Platform targets to have a millions of users in the next five years and empower everyone connected to the Internet with frictionless access to markets.
Also Firefly have a plan to bridging the best of CeFi (Centralized Finance) with the best of DeFi to advance derivatives trading, the largest market by trading volume. Firefly aim to combine the pros of CeFi (The latency, liquidity, and low cost) with DeFi characteristic such as the transparency, composability, and permission less.
As I try to understand what Firefly aim to be. I made a simple comparison matrix with other platform in this blog to see how potential of Firefly could be when it goes live.
Firefly offer an amazing equity share in the protocol based on traders activity on the exchange which called FFLY rewards. The reward are calculated according to a weight of average fees paid, open, maker volume. Unlike centralized exchanges that capture the value generated by the traders, decentralized apps allow for value flow back to users of the protocol.
This features is very unique on Firefly and it makes traders more friendly and easier to make a profit on long-term investment as well.
Firefly target to provide maximum liquidity for every assets that got voted by the governance holders. Market-makers in the industry will quote markets on Firefly with a tight spreads, which enable traders to open or close the positions with minimal slippage.

While on the other trading platforms are only allow traders to protect against slippage by offer only a Max Slippage setting. Traders can use limit orders to set their own worse price for execution.
Before this blog get bigger and longer and boring to read. I will stop the details at this point and I will come back again to describe more details about Firefly.
I hope you enjoy the comparison that I made by my version. And if you want to learn more about the project make sure you visit the links below.
