As a person who socializes, I am a person who reads, inquires, wonders about my values that make me who I am in the country where I live. I can instantly access the news I use from the internet to find out what is happening around me, how can I find out about them instantly. I also use this from social media, which is one of the new communication technologies. When choosing news or interacting on social media, I primarily follow and read social events where I am curious about my own ideas, political stance. I would also be happy with this, part of me does not reach full satisfaction with the phenomenon of curiosity. But not always. Accuracy and reliability are my most basic thoughts. I prefer different idea products; the same ones with opposite or very little differences. It investigates the accuracy of the news or text on social media, and if the sources I find seem consistent, the belief that they are correct intensifies. The selective exposure theory explains the exposed situation in this cognitive selectivity. If we briefly define; This change in the cognitive process causes the search for information that reduces the mismatch after the decision, the prevention of information that increases it, and this is called selective exposure[1]. While browsing internet news sites, I am often confronted with media texts that I do not like. I see the same situation in fast-flowing content such as social media. To cope with this, I'm filtering to access my idelogy, the information I'm looking for. In this way, I focus on what I want to learn first. I do not pay attention to every message that does not interest me in the news or social media texts in my elections. In fact, the first thing I do is to follow the news and content that reflect my own ideology and protect my values. When I use social media, when I come across content similar to the topics I've done before in content searches for my preferences, I accept them more accurately than the opposite content. The Buddha allows me to be exposed to the knowledge that I accept as true. I wonder if the news is new information outside of the topics I have chosen according to my preferences. It can also be said that I have been exposed to a message here that is actually new, but the accuracy of which I do not know.
