Story: this one was born out of a prompt asking to write a syllabic poem using the 5-7-5 haiku format in a sequence. My mind was busy wondering at the time, how do I learn to connect with a prayer in an intellectually honest way. How can I step out of the standard religious constructs that I've found limiting in the pursuit of genuine spiritual experience. Structure sometimes works like a charm, it brings out the inner talks into the forefront of conscious experience. Enjoy!
And as always, thank you kindly for reading! If you like this poem, please consider sharing it with someone you love or who you think might relate to it! 🙏 💌
