Do you Fear God?
When I first heard the phrase “fear of God,” I used to think it meant to be afraid of Him. Before I became a Christian, I had a deep understanding that God was real. Growing up, my mom would always tell me that authority was a part of life. There was no getting away from authority in one’s life. She said, “Everybody has to answer to someone.” Being young, arrogant, and hating authority, I did not like this statement one bit. I would gnash my teeth every time she brought it up. However, deep d...

Levi : The Father of the Priesthood

IntroductionThe Bible paints Levi, one of Jacob’s twelve sons, as a man of “fierce anger” and “cruel fury” (Genesis 49:5-7)—a warrior with a sword, driven by violence and passion. Alongside his brother Simeon, he slaughtered an entire city in revenge, earning a curse from their father Jacob: no land in Israel, only scattering among the tribes. Yet, astonishingly, this same Levi’s descendants—the Levites—would be set apart by God for His holy purposes, serving in the Tabernacle and Temple. How...

Aliens in a Foreign Land
Let me get this out of the way and state that I believe that aliens are real. Yes, aliens are real. You’re probably thinking I’m crazy right about now, saying to yourself, “This Christian guy is nuts” talking about aliens. I’d say you’re correct. How did I come to this conclusion? Let me first explain my case before you start stoning me. As it says in John 7:51, “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?” Are Aliens a Lie or Possibly True?My firs...

The Time Fallacy
Our lives here on Earth are such a short time. The amount of time we can waste is astounding. For me, I can confess I am addicted to my phone. I am constantly on it, scrolling, seeing what’s new. A lot of what I need is on my phone, including texting and important phone calls. The time I’m usually on it is about 5 hours per day. If you were to scale that to a year, it would come out to 1,680 hours per year. That comes out to 70 days in a year that I’m on my phone. Let’s actually scale out mor...

Manna in the Morning
Heavenly Provision 🥖The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” Matt 4:3-4In this life there are two types of food we can fully rely on to “eat”, spiritual that is from God and worldly provision. Worldly provision can give someone a false sense of security but little do they know they are sitting on a house built on t...

Renewed Devotion
“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.” 1 Chronicles 28:9-10

A Problem is an Opportunity
This past week has been grueling. Each day, I commute about an hour daily to work, and I’m growing weary of the distance. Although I have a good job with solid benefits, the commute takes a toll on me. I’ve been patient, hoping that gaining experience will lead to better opportunities down the road. I understand that this inconvenience is temporary and can potentially open doors to a better position in the future. However, the last three days have been particularly frustrating. The light rail...
