SNS.DOMAINS is a community-run project focused on building a Sui Name Service that will act as a digital identity for crypto gaming services and products. The goal is to create an ecosystem of products on Sui that can be accessed through a web browser using the “.sui” top-level domain, with each “.sui” registration controlling its equivalent “.sui” TLD. The project aims to connect web2 to web3 with community oversight, and create a profile system for Sui similar to those found on game launchers and marketplaces. To get involved, individuals can register their own domain, be active in the project’s discord, and engage with its tweets.
The SNS project believes that protocols should be owned by the people who use them. As such, a significant portion (25% or more) of SNS shares will be airdropped back to the community. This airdrop will include staff members, early contributors, content creators, and domain owners. The SNS tokens will represent direct ownership in the protocol.
