Imagination (Vikalpa) is a construct that arises from linguistic or symbolic knowledge, but lacks any real, corresponding object in the physical world.
In Mind OS, Vikalpa is the system’s Simulation Engine. Unlike Viparyaya (1.08), which is a misinterpretation of a real object, Vikalpa generates a data structure based entirely on conceptual input. It is the system’s ability to render a “virtual variable” that has no sensory referent.
Think of it as symbolic execution. The system can instantiate a class like Dragon or a concept like The Future. These exist as valid structures within the mind-field. However, when the system queries for a hardware address, there is no external object mapped to them.
They are internally consistent, but externally unbound.
While essential for creativity and planning, Vikalpa becomes a fluctuation when the system treats these virtual constructs as real-time system states.
