🪂 Gone Airdrop Hunting

The most important thing I’ve learned since the $JTO airdrop?

To be a profit maxi rather than a chain maxi.

Let me explain.

Since 2021, I've always been a strong supporter of Ethereum. Most of my onchain activities revolved around Ethereum, Arbitrum (remember Tetranode?), and Optimism. I dabbled in Solana a couple of times, but it never really captured my interest.

I used to be a dedicated Arbitrum fan. I was so committed that I even adopted its colors (💙,🧡) in my Twitter handle. Unfortunately, my loyalty to the blue chain caused me to miss out on opportunities in Bitcoin, Cosmos, Avalanche, and Solana, simply because I was drawn to its "vibes".

Since then, I’ve explored various flavors of the crypto wild west, delving deeper into the different design systems of Avalanche, Cosmos, Solana, and other L2s. To be an airdrop maximalist, and consequently, a profit maxi, I firmly believe it’s necessary to put aside tribalism and keep a really open mind.

And that is exactly what I have set out to do. Below is a list of where I am currently farming airdrops:

🟣 Solana

  • Backpack Solana wallet built for xNFTs

    • Natively use dApps from the wallet (I use Jupiter, Kamino, Drift, and Parcl)

    • Experiment with Backpack Exchange, a regulated CEX (note: you have to KYC to use Backpack Exchange)

  • Drift DEX with spot & perps trading, borrowing, lending, and LP

    • Buying and selling on spot, swap, lending and borrowing

    • Deposit into insurance fund vaults (I’m doing USDC, which currently sits at ~30% APR)

  • Jupiter DEX aggregator (my go-to place for swapping SOL/SLP tokens)

    • Swapping, DCA’ing (one of my favorite functions on the platform)

    • Limit buy/sell orders

    • Perpetuals: long/short SOL and other supported tokens, and provide liquidity into JLP (126.18% APR) - note that JLP pool is currently at AUM limit

  • Kamino DeFi suite of lending, liquidity (LP) and leverage

    • Borrow and lend mSOL, JitoSOL, bSOL, and stables

    • Liquidity: I like LPing into mSOL-SOL, JitoSOL-SOL, and bSOL-SOL (bidirectional price movement = less impermanent loss)

  • MarginFi margin platform, allows for cross-margin between different DeFi platforms

    • Make a swap

    • Mint LST with SOL

    • Lend: mSOL, JitoSOL, SOL, and LST

  • Parcl real estate perps on Solana

    • Provide liquidity (LP) - more points awarded than trading

    • Bought a Parcl Homeowner Association (HOA)’s NFT for a 20% multiplier

  • Tensor Solana NFT marketplace (similar to Blur) with real-time data, candlestick charts, AMM pools, etc

    • Buying, selling, and bidding NFTs

    • Bought and staked a Tensorian

⭐ StarkNet (L2 zk-rollup on Ethereum)

🌉 Bridges

  • Wormhole / Mayan Finance go-to bridge when bridging from Ethereum to Solana

  • Bungee.Exchange I regularly use Bungee when bridging between different L2s (esp. Base, Linea, and zkSync Era)

  • Squid Router go-to bridge when bridging from Ethereum to Cosmos ecosystems (ATOM, Osmosis, Celestia)

  • Orbiter Finance Frequently used this when I was farming StarkNet; solid choice if you want to bridge from Ethereum <> StarkNet, other zkEVMs (Scroll or Polygon zkEVM)

🔵 Linea (Eth L2 built by Consensys)

  • Linea Voyage: completed quests to qualify for voyage NFTs

    • For wallets that didn’t qualify, bought all Linea Voyage NFTs on Element NFT marketplace (Omega, Delta, Gamma, Beta, and Alpha)

  • DeFi (swap, LP, farm)

    • EchoDEX DEX on LineaBuild

    • SyncSwap: Most seamless DEX (preferred choice) when farming on Linea, zkSync, and Scroll

Further down the line, I’m keeping an eye out for Scroll, Taiko, Polygon zkEVM, and Fuel. Curious what I’m doing onchain? Feel free to subscribe to be the first to receive updates when I post!
